AGNOSTICISM: The belief that
asserts, God cannot be known for sure by man.
Man does not have enough knowledge to know the absolute presence of
God. Literal definition is "without
knowledge."
AIKEDO: A style of martial arts
developed by Morihei Ueshiba in 1942, which utilizes the circling motions of
hands for the purpose of diverting the opponent’s pressure and energy. It also
includes various joint locks and chokes and is heavily embedded with the
occultism and New Age philosophies.
Literal definition is the "union with the universal energies."
APOLOGETIC: That area of the Christian
theology, which deals with the defense of the Christian faith, by presenting
sound, rational and logical reasons.
ARNIS: A style of martial arts
developed in Philippine, which is a sub-system of Kali, and which utilizes
single or double wooden sticks about an arm length, for the purpose of
offensive, defensive and counter attacks. Literal definition is
"harness."
ASTROLOGY: An occultic practice and
belief, which relates the movement of stars and their positions with peoples'
lives and future.
ASTRAL-FLIGHT:
Or
Astral-Projection, Astral-Travel. An occultic practice, through, which a person
can travel with his spirit, outside of his body unto a distance land. Also, out
of the body experience.
ATHEISM:
A belief that
asserts, God does not exist, or the doctrine that rejects the existence of
God. Literal definition is "without
God."
AVATAR:
The Hindu
concept of a messenger or a deity. Literal definition is "descent."
BAHA'ISM:
A New Age
religion founded in 1863 in Iran, by Mirza Husayn Ali, better known as
Baha'ullah. Baha'ism is an offshoot of
Islam, which teaches and emphasizes many of the New Age concepts such as; one
world religion, one world humanity and oneness of the global government. Baha'i
Scriptures are of the Shoghi Effendi and Baha'ullah himself.
BLACK
MAGIC: An
occultic practice, which is considered destructive, and is used for the purpose
of gaining power and control over people and things in general, and which
utilizes super-natural demonic powers.
BUDDHISM: One of the major world
religions, which was founded by Gautama Buddha around 500 B.C. Buddhism's
tradition includes, the worshiping of Buddha and following his teachings. The
name Buddha literally means, "Enlightened."
ESCRIMA: A broad system of martial arts
developed in Philippine. Escrima much like Arnis is a derivative and offshoot
of kali, utilizing single and double wooden sticks, sword, dagger and empty
hands for the purpose of offensive, defensive and counter attacks. Literal definition is "fencing."
EXISTENTIALISM: A school of philosophy, which
its adheres deal with the idea and concept, that the only thing that matters in
this life are self, existence, present, and other subjects related to the
present life on earth.
CHI: (Chi, Ki, or Qi) A concept and
practice in the cult of Taoism, in the New Age movement, in the world of the
occults and most commonly used in various martial art schools and styles. It is the concept that asserts that world is
made up and is held together by a non-personal occultic energy called, Chi.
It is defined as the universal energy or force, which comprises
everything and everybody. It is a
concept of "Consciousness" or "Self," or the divine
abilities and powers latent within every human being. It only needs to be
discovered from within and developed, for the purpose of gaining power over
human beings and everything else in general; and ultimately, to be used for the
destruction of human lives, in such internal arts as, dim-mak.
CHILDREN
OF GOD: A cult
currently known as, "The Family of
Love," founded by Moses David (Berg) in 1986 at Huntington Beach in
Southern California. His teachings are occultism, promiscuous sexual activities
and aberrational and heretical doctrines.
CHIN-NA: A Chinese style of martial art,
which deals with holds, locks, take downs, kicking and punching for the purpose
of offensive, defensive and counter attacks.
CHRISTIAN
SCIENCE: A
non-Christian, gnostic and a New Age cult, founded by Mary Baker Eddy around
1879. The Christian Science text and
Scriptures are the, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures,"
written by Mrs. Eddy, published in 1875.
CULT: A group of people converged and
united around someone's false
interpretation of the Bible, philosophy and in many cases religion. Literal
definition is "a group of people."
The leader of the cult is usually very dominant toward his or her
followers, and his or her word cannot be altered nor challenged by anyone
within the organization. Ultimately the
leader is revered as god or savior by his or her followers.
DOCTRINE:
Tenet,
teaching, precept, rule of teaching, principle, etc.
DUMOG: A Filipino style of martial
arts, which deals with grappling. A derivative of Kali.
FENCING: A weaponry style of martial
arts, which uses a foil or saber as well as footwork for the purpose of
offensive, defensive and counter attacks.
It has also become a national and Olympic sport.
GRAPPLING:
In martial
arts, the standing grips and holds, the floor holds and entangles range of San
Jieh Dao. Its synonym term is "wrestling."
GUNG-FU: Cantonese Chinese spelling for "Kung-Fu." A general term
used for the Chinese martial arts.
Literal definition is "skill."
HERMENEUTICS: The art and science of
interpreting the Bible. Literal definition is "to interpret."
HINDUISM: The religion of India;
embracing the concepts and practices of occultism, spiritsm, pantheism, monism,
transmigration, karma, nirvana and others. The Hindu Scriptures are the Vedas,
Upanishads, Ramayana, Mahabharata, Puranas and the most famous of them is Bhagavad Gita.
INTERNAL
MARTIAL ARTS:
That branch of martial art, which deals with occultism, spiritsm and
meditations. Internal or "soft" styles of martial arts are integral part of the New Age
movements and are diametrically opposite of the "External" or
"Hard" branches of martial arts, which deal with the physical aspect
of self-defense.
ISLAM:
A religion
founded by Muhammad around 600 A.D. Literal definition is "submission to
the will of Allah."
JEHOVAH
WITNESSES: A
non-Christian cultic religion, also known as the Watchtower Bible and Tract
Society, founded by Charles Taze Russell in 1879.
JEET
KUNE DO: An
eclectic, pragmatic, dynamic & New Age method of martial art founded and
developed by the late Bruce Lee in the middle of 1960's. The liberated
Jeet Kune Do is the nucleus of the art of San Jieh Dao. The literal definition is "The Way of
Intercepting Fist."
JKD: JKD is an acronym for Jeet Kune
Do.
JU-JITSU: A Japanese style of martial
arts, which deals with locks, chokes, take downs as well as holds and various
kicking. It is used more in the empty
hand applications than in weaponry situations. Literal definition is "the
art of flexibility."
JUDO: A Japanese derivative martial
art style of Ju-Jitsu, which deals with body and hand ties, falls and rolls.
Literal definition is "the way of flexibility."
JUN-FAN
GUNG-FU:
Original name Bruce Lee gave to his personal method of martial art. The name "Li Jun-Fan" is Bruce
Lee's Chinese birth name. The name Li is Cantonese Chinese spelling for Lee. The liberated Jun Fan Gung Fu is the nucleus of the art of San Jieh
Dao.
JUN-FAN
WING-CHUN:
Developed by Bruce Lee, a modified method of the traditional Chinese martial
art style "Wing-Chun," this is encompassed by Jun-Fan Gung-Fu or Jeet
Kune Do. The nucleus of the art of Jun-Fan Gung-Fu.
KALI: Broad martial arts' systems of Philippine,
which deals with single and double wooden sticks, sword, dagger or knife, chain
and other bladed weapons as well as empty hand in long, medium and close ranges
of combative self defense. The literal
definition is "sword."
KARMA: It is known in the New Age
movement and Hinduism as the law of action and reaction. The law of cause and effect relating to the
human's soul; what is sown here in this life, is reaped in the next life,
through the concept of reincarnation or transmigration. Also, the hardship and
punishments man is experiencing in this life are a result of wrongs he or she
has committed in the past lives.
LE-SAVATE: A French style of martial arts
better recognized as Le-Savate kickboxing or foot fighting. Most of its emphases is on foot works,
boxing, kicking and balance. Among
others, it utilizes elements of Chinese and Western boxing and Northern Chinese
kicking.
MARTIAL ARTS: A general term, which refers to all of the combative methods, styles or systems of self-defense. Literal definition is the "military or warrior arts."
MAYA: The Hindu concept of transitory
or illusion. The non-existence state of the material world.
METAPHYSICS: That which is beyond the normal
senses.
MIND
SCIENCES: A
non-Christian cultic organization that embraces Christian Science, Unity School
of Christianity and other non-Christian cults.
Their teaching is similar to the Christian Science and many of their
doctrines resembles the Gnostic cults, such as the concept of Maya. Mind Sciences
deny the doctrine of Trinity, Deity of Jesus Christ, physical bodily
resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave on the third day, and many other
essential Christian doctrines.
MONISM: A Hindu concept that the whole
life, the whole reality and everything that exists, physically and spiritually
are made up of one substance.
MORMONISM: A non-Christian cultic religion
better known as the "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,"
founded by Joseph Smith in 1830.
MOSQUE:
The building
where Muslims worship Allah.
MUAY-THAI: A very physical hard core style
of martial arts, which was developed in the latter part of 16th century in
Thailand and is better known as "Muay-Thai Kickboxing." It is a partial offshoot of Western boxing
and Chinese kickboxing, and deals primarily with kicking, kneeing, punching and
elbowing the opponent. Muay-Thai
Kickboxing is now a national sport of Thailand.
NEW
AGE MOVEMENT:
Can be better recognized as a movement of people and cultic religious groups
having more or less similar doctrines and philosophies as their common
denominator. They embrace many if not all of the oriental and eastern
philosophies, environmentalism concepts, paganism, spiritsm, occultism,
worshipping things and the material world, and the worship of the individual Self, is the main theme of the New Age
movement. Self is looked and revered
as deity and god. They use their own vocabulary, terminologies, concepts, such
as: planetary citizens, Christ consciousness, self-help methods, numerology,
self-realization, self-actualization, self-consciousness, UFO's, Ascended
Masters, cosmic energies, esoteric journey, globalism, liberation movement, one
world, unification of the world religions, unification of the government and
all humanity and many others. They are
very much anti-historic-Biblical-Christianity, and reject all the major
Biblical doctrines and other orthodox Christian theologies.
NIRVANA: The Hindu concept of heaven and
the ultimate spiritual fulfillment and goal.
OCCULTS: Hidden and mysterious practices
and beliefs. Including: Satanism,
demonization, fortune telling, psychic connection, palm readings, ESP,
telepathy, tarot cards, spiritsm, black magic, white magic, witchcraft, Ouija
boards, Dungeons and Dragons, psychometry, levitation, séances, fire walking,
astral travel, astral projection, out of body experience, psychic healings,
chanting, poltergeist, psychic energy, aura, astrology, water dowsing, voodoo,
crystal balls and many others. The
literal translation is "secret or mysterious things."
PANENTUKAN: A Filipino style of martial
arts which is a derivative of Kali, and which deals heavily with boxing, with
the influence of Chinese and Western boxing.
PENTJAK-SILAT: An Indonesian style of martial
arts, which is used for long, medium and
close ranges of combat; utilizing foot works, trapping, locks, take downs,
weaponry and others.
PANTHEISM: The Hindu concept, which
asserts, God is all and all is God.
Everything in the world contains the same substance as God possesses and
God contains the same substance as the world possesses.
PERSIA:
Modern Iran; a
country in central Asia.
PHILOSOPHY: A general study of thoughts and
conducts. Literal definition is the "love of the human wisdom."
POLYTHEISM:
The belief in
many finite and limited gods. Literal definition is "many gods."
PSYCHIC
HEALING: A New
Age practice, which utilizes the universal spirits or energies for the purpose
of physical or mental healing of people.
PSYCHOKENETIC
ENERGY: In the
world of the occults, the mental ability to move, influence or affect the
physical objects, such as: levitation, stopping the watches, bending the forks
and etc.
REINCARNATION: In the New Age movement and
Hinduism, the concept of successive evolution and preservation of the human
soul into a new body upon death, for the purpose of the perfection of the soul.
RELATIVISM: A concept of philosophy used
excessively in the New Age theologies, which denies all absolute and objective
truth, and affirms that all truth in the world is relative, subjective and
personal. Man must discover his or her own relative truth.
SJD:
SJD is an
acronym for San Jieh Dao.
SAN
JIEH DAO: A
dynamic, scientific, well rounded, tri-fold Christian & Biblical based martial
art founded and developed by Bahram Khozairy.
The Literal definition is "Tri Fold Way”.
SCIENTOLOGY: A non-Christian cultic
religion, founded by L. Ron Hubbard in 1955. The Scientology's main Scripture
is, "Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health."
SECULAR
HUMANISM: A
concept of philosophy, which denies the existence of a Supreme God, and which
puts emphasis on what humans can do for themselves during their lifetime on
earth.
SIFU: Or Shi Fu in Mandarin
Chinese. . Literal definition in
Cantonese Chinese is, "teacher, mentor, father figure."
SI-GUNG: Or Shi Gung in Mandarin
Chinese. Literal definition in Cantonese
Chinese is "teacher's teacher."
SIKARAN:
A Filipino
style of martial arts, which deals with foot fighting.
TAOISM: An eastern, occultic and cultic philosophy
and religion, founded by Lao-Tze in 570 B.C. Literal definition is "the way."
TAI-CHI-CHUAN: An internal or soft style of
martial arts originated in China, which utilizes the bodily (hands and feet)
movements in the air for the purpose meditating, spiritual harmony and
fitness.
THEISM: The belief in an infinite,
supreme and personal God, who is active and involved in His creation.
THEOLOGY: A general field of study, which
deals with the works, nature,
personality and attributes
of God. Literal definition is "the
study of God."
THEOCRACY:
In theology,
the rule of God.
THEOSOPHY:
A cult commonly
known as the "Theosophical Society," founded by a Russian occultist
known as Helena P. Blavatsky in 1875.
Its emphasis is on occultism and philosophy. Literal definition is "love of divine
wisdom."
TRANSMIGRATION: Hindu concept of reincarnation
with the difference, that after death man's soul can be transferred into the
body of animals, insects and other living beings.
TRAPPING: The close to sticky range of
San Jieh Dao. The art of intercepting or stopping hands or feet in the air or
against the opponent's body for the purpose of offensive, defensive or counter
attacks.
UNIFICATION
CHURCH: A
non-Christian cultic religion founded by a Korean man, by the name of Sun Myung
Moon in 1971. Their emphasis is that Mr.
Moon is Jesus Christ the Messiah or the "Lord of the Second Advent."
Mr. Moon embraces heretical doctrines, occultism, and denies the essential
orthodox doctrines of Christianity.
VISUALIZATION:
In the New Age
movement; an occultic practice, which attempts to turn any of the human's
thoughts into the physical reality; including the thought that man is god.
WHITE
MAGIC: An
occultic practice, allegedly positive in nature, performed by a witch or a
wizard.
WING-CHUN: A Southern Chinese style of
martial art, which was developed for close range fighting. Wing-Chun (or
Wing-Tsun) deals primarily with trapping and locking of the opponent's hands
and feet, straight-line advances, straight-line punches and close quarter kicks
on or below the waste.
WITCHCRAFT: An occultic practice; close
association with Satanism, which includes, sorcery, casting spells, black and
white magic and necromancy. The male which
is called "wizard" as oppose to the female witch.
YOGA: An occultic method of
meditation, relaxation and bodily stretching, which blends occultic and demonic
spiritual practices with the physical bodily movements.
ZAZEN: The lotus or cross-legged position
of the seated meditation in the cult of Zen Buddhism.
ZEN: A cult, and an offshoot of
Mahayana Buddhism, developed by Bodhidharma who lived in the 7th century
B.C. Among others, the emphasis of Zen
is on meditation, breathing and the oneness with the universal energies.
